The rear window is all you need to understand how this car’s style was developed. Its sloping lines escape towards the rear, reflecting the purity of a stingray. It has plenty of cinema charisma, as Corvette shows the first images of the Centennial Design; the mysterious concept car destined to be a protagonist in “Revenge of the Fallen”, the colossal sequel to Transformers.
We love the evocative rear, but aren’t so convinced about the front - too little Corvette, too much invention, which doesn’t continue with the rear lines. But for the film, it could nearly steal the show.
New MG 6 Sedan Series
By the end of the year, SAIC Motor Corp. (China’s biggest automaker) would already have started producing MG 6 sedans at its British plant. These models will go on sale in the first quarter of next year. Last January, SAIC had revealed plans to sell UK-made MG cars in Europe at the end of this year. After merging with Nanjing Automobile Group in late 2007, SAIC came to own MG Rover’s 10,000-unit-a-year Longbridge plant in Birmingham, central England. It was in 2005 that Nanjing acquired MG Rover. SAIC was able to launch its first self-developed car, the Roewe 750, from technologies gotten from MG Rover, in March of that year. This was followed by the Roewe 550 and MG 6 models, which are a hit with young, elite professionals in China. SAIC also has plans to build and sell a right-hand-drive version of its newly unveiled Roewe 350 hatchback in England, according to Chen Zhixing, executive vice president of SAIC, in an interview in March. Currently, the Roewe 350 is being produced at SAIC’s Pukou plant in Nanjing. The timeframe for the car’s production in England is not available. SAIC has a plant and an r&d team in England.

Some of the world’s best young designers from London’s Royal College of Art (RCA) have created a series of remarkable ‘Bentleys of the Future’ designs in a unique partnership with the famous British company.
Eighteen Vehicle Design Course Masters students have spent the last few months studying the work of Bentley's leading designers, including Head of Exterior Design Raul Pires who played a key role designing the company’s new Mulsanne flagship. Drawing on Bentley’s proud design heritage, they have sought to develop a range of striking and futuristic car designs. Now four of the RCA students have been shortlisted to refine their designs with Pires and his colleagues with a winner and runner-up both being invited to join the Crewe-based company for a six month secondment in the Bentley design
